Sobre o CampoARQUITECTO:
2001 & 2008
DescriçãoCastro Marim consists of three 9 hole circuits. The first 18, comprising the Atlantic and Guadiana courses opened in 2001, followed seven years later by the Grouse course, regarded by many as the most difficult of the three loops. Set amongst hills and narrow valleys featuring pine and olive trees, it provides an inland golf experience close to the sea. The tees and greens are often elevated and there are multiple dog legs with numerous lakes. The par four 2nd on the Atlantic course requires an approach shot over water to a green protected by bunkers. The views extend from the mouth of the Guadiana River across to Spain on the opposite bank of the estuary and the course is rich in wildlife including wild boar, rabbits and thousands of aquatic birds from a nearby nature reserve. The elusive and rare Iberian lynx, an endangered species, has been sighted on the property. Buggy highly recommended.
