DescriptionSituated on a cliff that overlooks the ocean, Quinta da Ria forms part of the Ria Formosa Lagoon Natural Park in the Eastern Algarve. It’s a flat, open course with wide fairways and medium sized greens - well protected by numerous bunkers and five strategically placed lakes. Olive, carob and almond trees complete the natural setting. The 10th is perhaps the best hole on the course, a par four with out-of-bounds on the left and a stream that runs along the right edge of the fairway and protects the green. Other notable holes are the 5th, a par three over a lake to a green well defended by bunkers, the 13th, another par three which runs parallel to the Ria Formosa, and the 16th, a par five with a double dog leg between two large lakes. Quinta da Ria is part of an extensive golf facility which includes Quinta de Cima and a six hole par three Academy Course.
