DescriptionPraia d'El Rey golf course is widely recognised as one of the best in Portugal and in Continental Europe. The course has two contrasting halves – one in the style of a seaside links and the other a tree lined layout with an inland feel. The most visually stunning part of the course contains the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th holes which run alongside the beach and offer splendid views of the Atlantic Ocean. The 17th is one of the longest par 5’s in Portugal with out-of-bounds left and right and a narrow entrance to the green. The 18th is a lovely finishing hole - a dog leg par 4 with a narrow landing zone for the tee shot and a green protected by trees and bunkers. The course is a wonderful challenge from start to finish and requires strategy, skillful shotmaking and a deft touch on the greens which are large and undulating.
