DescriptionSet in a valley between Portimão and Monchique, Morgado Golf is in the same complex as the Álamos course – the Morgado do Reguengo Resort. It’s a good challenge for any golfer and the surroundings are very natural with the Monchique hills providing a lovely backdrop. The fairways are generally wide and the greens expansive. There are plenty of strategically placed bunkers and the first nine holes, which include two lakes, are relatively flat. The most difficult hole is the par five 3rd which requires an accurate tee shot to avoid a lake on the left side of the fairway and out-of-bounds on the right. The back nine are more undulating but most of the holes have generous fairways. The resort has two hotels: one is close to the club house with views over the driving range and a number of the holes, and the second is situated at the entrance to the complex.
